After announcing the release date for his Pretty Girls Like Trap Music album on Tuesday, 2 Chainz stopped by The View to discuss the upcoming project. The show was co-hosted by Ohio governor and former Republican presidential candidate John Kasich and his interactions with the Atlanta rapper made for some cringeworthy moments.
When asked about a potential bid for mayor in his hometown of College Park, Georgia, 2 Chainz explained that he believed he would a potential race but said that his current residence outside of the district stopped him from running. Kasich chimed in, advising the rapper to “drop the yo” if he ever planned to run for office.

Jay Z shares a snippet of “Adnis” in latest ‘4:44’ ad.
“Adnis,” a new track from Jay Z has surfaced in part online. Featured in a brand new ad for ‘4:44,’ the track with a somber piano melody leads off as a message on Father’s Day from Hov to his late father, Adnis Reeves. “Letter to my dad that I never wrote / Speeches I prepared that I never spoke,” Jay raps in the :30 ad. “Words on a paper that I never read / Proses never penned they stayed in my head.”

Tidal revealed that “4:44” is a film starring Mahershala Ali, Danny Glover and Lupita Nyong’o. The film (and possible album) arrive on June 30, a collaboration between Tidal and Sprint.

Fans of Bryson Tiller were expecting his sophomore album, True To Self, to drop in June.
Instead of waiting until next month, the R&B singer decided to release the project overnight.
